Privacy and Cookie Policy

I – INFORMATION RELATING TO THE SITE'S PRIVACY POLICY

II – DATA PROCESSING

III – COOKIES

1 – Types of Cookies

1. The Hotel Principe Cortina website uses cookies to make the user’s browsing experience easier and more intuitive: cookies are small strings of text used to store certain information that may concern the user, their preferences or the device used to access the Internet (computer, tablet or mobile phone) and are mainly used to adapt the functioning of the website to the user’s expectations, offering a more personalised browsing experience and storing the choices made previously.

2. A cookie consists of a small amount of data transferred to the user’s browser from a web server and can only be read by the server that made the transfer. It is not executable code and does not transmit viruses.

3. Cookies do not record any personal information and any identifiable data will not be stored. If you wish, you can prevent some or all cookies from being saved. However, in this case, the use of the website and the services offered may be compromised. To proceed without changing your cookie options, simply continue browsing.

Below are the types of cookies used by the website:

2 – Technical cookies

1. There are numerous technologies used to store information on the user’s computer, which is then collected by websites. Among these, the best known and most widely used are HTML cookies. They are used for navigation and to facilitate access and use of the website by the user. They are necessary for the transmission of communications over electronic networks or for the provider to deliver the service requested by the customer.

2. The settings for managing or disabling cookies may vary depending on the internet browser used. In any case, the user can manage or request the general deactivation or deletion of cookies by changing the settings of their internet browser. Such deactivation may slow down or prevent access to certain parts of the website.

3. The use of technical cookies allows for the safe and efficient use of the website. Cookies that are placed in the browser and retransmitted through Google Analytics or through the statistics service of bloggers or similar are technical only if used for the purpose of optimising the website directly by the owner of the website, who may collect information in aggregate form on the number of users and how they visit the website. Under these conditions, the same rules apply to analytics cookies as to technical cookies in terms of information and consent.

4. From the point of view of duration, a distinction can be made between temporary session cookies, which are automatically deleted at the end of the browsing session and are used to identify the user and thus avoid having to log in to each page visited, and permanent cookies, which remain active on the computer until they expire or are deleted by the user.

5. Session cookies may be installed in order to allow access to and permanence in the reserved area of the portal as an authenticated user.

6. They are not stored permanently but only for the duration of navigation until the browser is closed and disappear when the browser is closed. Their use is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers consisting of random numbers generated by the server, which are necessary to enable the safe and efficient exploration of the site.

3 – Third-party cookies

1. In relation to their origin, a distinction is made between cookies sent to the browser directly from the site being visited and third-party cookies sent to the computer from other sites and not from the one being visited.

2. Permanent cookies are often third-party cookies.

3. Most third-party cookies are tracking cookies used to identify online behaviour, understand interests and then personalise advertising proposals for users.

4. Third-party analytical cookies may be installed. These are sent from domains belonging to the aforementioned third parties external to the site.

5. Third-party analytical cookies are used to collect information on user behaviour on Hotel Principe Cortina. The collection is anonymous, in order to monitor performance and improve the usability of the site. Third-party profiling cookies are used to create user profiles, in order to offer advertising messages in line with the choices made by the users themselves.

Facebook may use cookies to share content on social networks or to compile access statistics. Hotel Principe Cortina does not use these cookies for the purpose of profiling the data subject.

In addition, the Facebook Pixel cookie is installed, which allows Hotel Principe Cortina to monitor conversions that occur on its website as a result of the advertisements it runs on Facebook. For example, if you want to monitor sign-ups for a particular campaign advertised on Facebook, the cookie tells Facebook every time a user has signed up for a particular campaign on the site. Facebook compares the conversion event with the group of people who were shown the advert or who clicked on it, in order to provide information that helps it understand the return on investment for its advertising expenditure. It does not use this cookie for profiling purposes, but only for statistical purposes.

6. The use of these cookies is governed by the rules set by the third parties themselves, therefore, users are invited to read the privacy policies and instructions for managing or disabling cookies published on the relevant web pages.
